All that started in Vladivostok back in time. 2007 August 7M-GTE engine removed from the car. 1UZ-FE is waiting to go in. After some fitting and several trys - it is in!!! Ok, it is in, but got the problem - exhaust and oil filter mount. That stops everything!!! Yet, I have to go to business trip. Put the project on hold. 2008 August Year later. Damn, time is running fast! Got UZZ31 oil filter mount and UZZ31 exhaust headers. Wired engine, but did not fire it. Not yet close to finish... 2009 September Engine is wired and fired up. Still lots of other stuff to do. 2010 July Moving to SAKALIN island!!! Finally got my car on the road. Very unusual feeling with the UZZ20 specification, perfect sound... I love it! Current specs are: - MZ21 body - 1UZFE from UZS131 Crown, stock Crown ECU - A340 transmission from UZS131 Crown, Crown ECT - Bomex full aero kit - R16 Racing SparcoPython II alloy disks - Tein height adjustable struts - JVT aluminum radiator (12" + 14" fans) But now the process will be faster than before, my car is with me! Test race shows that JZZ31 performs better, but testing was done before ECT PWR mode was fully wired. Still lots to do, especially - interior. 2010 August 08 Combination switch repair For some resaon combination switch (turn, hazard, wipers) - stopped wotrking. It is very hard to find such combination switch here in Russia. Therefore I decided to fix it by myself. I spent full day for chechking, testing and everything. Finally - got it repared. That was the reason of the failure - fault capacitor, which caused reset mode for microcomputer: 2010 August 23 Replaced dash board MZ21 => GZ20 Removal of the old original one: Compare dash boards: GZ20 dash board installed: 2011 January 29 Supra A70 leather seat covers from ebay Ordered and received yesterday seat covers from ebay, designed for A70 Supra. I hope there will be no issues to fit it in Soarer: And of course - Gryphon is here! 2011 March 15 On a short visit to Japan, the country where my Soarer came from. I really enjoy this time. 2011 May 17 Installed Powertrax Lockright in rear differential. After that I got a rod knock. :( sad. 2011 Aug 22 Back on track!!!! yay! Replaced engine, replaced transmission. Transmission converted from A340E out of JZX81 NA Replaced input shaft with one from UZS131 A341E A341 has more discs A340E has less discs And finally 1UZFE + A340E is sitting inside engine bay: Installed ATECU (atecu.ru) - stand-alone transmission controller, easy to tune and change settings to manage AT transmission:
